Why do you want to compete in the Globe 5.80 Transat?
After the Ocean Globe Race, I wanted to create my own sailing project – a journey that would challenge me both as a sailor and as a person. My goal was to push my limits, take full responsibility for every aspect of the campaign, and see how far I could go on my own skills, determination, and seamanship.
Sailing Experience
I started sailing dinghies at the age of eight and competed actively up to the level of international championships. Over time, my interest shifted towards larger boats and ocean sailing, which led me to apply for the Ocean Globe Race. Both before and after the OGR, I have taken part in offshore races in Finland and abroad. In the summers, I compete on a classic 6m yacht.

If you could change two things about the Globe 5.80 Transat what would they be?
I was free to choose my own sailmaker, and lithium batteries would have been permitted.
What do you consider to be the best and the worst part about the 5.80 Transat?
The best moment is undoubtedly crossing the finish line and feeling that I have pushed beyond my limits. The hardest part is perhaps dealing with major setbacks alone on the boat.
