Origami

Keri is a retired British Naval Captain, now living in France as an artist. He has been sailing since early childhood with experience spanning nearly every type of craft, from family day sailers and square riggers to racing yachts, keelboats, and high-performance dinghies. Dinghy racing is his first love, having campaigned National 12s, RS200s, Larks, and the 4000 with his children Freya and Theo, as well as sailing an International 12 Foot Dinghy with his daughter India.

Keri completed his first trans-Atlantic race in the 1993 Cape to Rio Race with the Royal Navy Sailing Team and has since raced offshore in the Pacific, Mediterranean, and South China Seas. He is now focused on the McIntyre Mini Globe Race with Origami, a boat he’s been customising extensively to suit his competitive edge. Originally built by Peter Kenyon from the UK using a CNC kit, Origami participated in the inaugural Class Globe 5.80 Transat in 2021.

Keri brings to the race a mix of calculated strategy, lifelong experience, and an adventurous spirit, fully prepared to compete and inspire with his journey.
