Jim Schofield took a conservative stance towards the inaugural 5.80 Transat race, and sailed “Molly Claire” (Hull 57) under reduced canvas. Jim’s primary objective was to cross the Atlantic Ocean on his own, on a boat he built himself as a “pandemic project”. An objective he is reaching brilliantly, landing in Antigua in time for Boxing Day 2021.
